Undergraduate Degree Programs
An applicant for the associate's or bachelor's degree programs must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. American College Test (ACT) and Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores are not required for admission to the associate's or bachelor's degree programs.
- Official Transcripts - From all previously attended high schools, colleges, and universities.

- Telephone Interview - Upon submission of the application and official transcripts, the applicant will complete a telephone interview with the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
(An undergraduate applicant who is beyond the age of compulsory education and who has not previously attended an institution of higher learning may be conditionally admitted until proof of high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is received.)
Master's Degree Programs
An applicant for the master's degree programs must have a bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education or an institutional agency recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or its successors. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Millers Analogies Test (MAT) scores are not required for admission to the master's degree programs.

Doctoral Degree Programs
An applicant for the doctoral degree programs must have a master's degree from an institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education or an institutional agency recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or its successors. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Millers Analogies Test (MAT) scores are not required for admission to the doctoral degree programs.
Doctoral applicants must submit the following to complete their applications:

- Two Letters of Academic Recommendation - The letters of recommendation should be written by persons competent to judge the applicant's probable success in a doctoral program. These letters are generally written by the applicant's former professors who are able to give an in-depth evaluation of the applicant's strengths and weaknesses with respect to academic work. Additional recommendations may come from employers or supervisors who are familiar with the applicant's work experience. All letters of academic recommendation must be written in letter format and may be submitted to the university by the authors either through mail or email (as an attachment).
- Academic Writing Sample - Please submit an academic writing sample (minimum of five paragraphs) on one of the 102 Great Ideas listed on the website. Please be sure to review the beginning essays of each Great Idea located in the Syntopicon I and Syntopicon II of the Great Books of the Western World or you may find more information about the Great Ideas by reviewing www.thegreatideas.org to aid in this writing sample.
- Telephone Interview - Upon submission of the application, official transcripts, letters of academic recommendation, and writing sample the applicant will complete a telephone interview with the Dean of Graduate Studies.
