Please join us for a beautiful, fall weekend in Tempe, AZ and the opportunity to meet fellow HMU students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

The weekend schedule, which will begin with a Friday evening reception, includes presentations and discussions, as well as optional organized outings to some of the special places AZ has to offer.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, November 8th

Location: Harrison Middleton University, 3345 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ, 85282

4-6 pm - Welcome Reception and Introductions

Light hors d’oeuvres and drinks provided

Saturday, November 9th

Location: Harrison Middleton University, 3345 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ, 85282

10-11:30 am - Joseph Coulson, HMU President, will speak about the humanities and the creation of culture, exploring "Metaphors of Journey in the American Imagination." The talk will be interactive with time for questions and discussion.

11:30 am-12:30 pm - lunch provided

1-3 pm - Inquiry-based group discussions led by HMU alumni (more details to come)

Evening on your own

Sunday, November 10th

Optional morning outings (time TBD):

Desert Botanical Garden (https://www.dbg.org/) or Heard Museum (https://heard.org/)

Transportation will be provided to both destinations from the HMU campus. RSVP required. Participants will pay their own entrance.
