Sister Cities International…
Harrison Middleton University recognizes and encourages learning that is attained outside of educational institutions. The university realizes that students bring with them a wealth of learning from work and life experiences such as the Sister Cities Student/Teacher Exchange Program.
The Sister Cities International Exchange Program experience is combined with Harrison Middleton University's Human Geography course and provides the opportunity to earn continuing education credit. Ideally, research for the Human Geography course will be completed before, during, and after the Sister Cities Exchange Program. The objectives of the Human Geography course include researching human geography topics and Great Ideas such as: Change, Citizen, Evolution, Form, Government, History, Nature, Science, Space, State, Time, Wealth, and World; completing your Sister Cities Exchange Program; and completing a series of telephone discussions with a Tutor from Harrison Middleton University. The pariculat topics studies in this course, taken from the College Board's Advanced Placement Human Geography course, build on the National Geography Standards developed in 1994. Applicants will earn three (3) credit hours and receive an official transcript upon successful completion of the course and each of its components.
To earn credit for the Sister Cities Exchange Program, please contact Harrison Middleton University at information@hmu.edu.
Upon receipt of the application materials, the university will mail a study guide with instructions on preparing for the course discussions.
